I’m Andrew Simmons, a Registered Social Worker (BSW, MSW, RSW) based on Galiano Island, offering compassionate, culturally responsive therapy in-person and online across British Columbia. I am the creator of Relational Confrontation Therapy™ (RCT), a unique modality designed to support meaningful growth through honest, respectful dialogue. RCT™ helps clients deepen self-awareness, take empowered accountability, and strengthen relationships by confronting difficult truths in a way that fosters connection rather than conflict.
In addition to RCT™, I draw on a rich toolkit of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Compassion-Focused approaches. Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals, supporting you through anxiety, depression, chronic health issues, grief and loss, end-of-life transitions, and trauma. I bring particular sensitivity to the lived experiences of LGBTQIA2S+, Indigenous, and BIPOC communities.
Grounded in social justice and equity, I listen deeply to your story and work collaboratively with you to co-create a roadmap for healing and resilience. You will find a warm, empathetic presence that is adaptive, curious, and committed to your growth as I continue to expand my professional practice.
When I’m not working with clients, I’m often tending my garden, exploring the nature of Galiano Island, or spending time with my two beloved dogs, adventurous cat, 30 chickens, and three adorable Runner ducks.
I invite you to begin with a free 15-minute consultation to explore how my personalized, modality-rich support can help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Don't let fear or uncertainty hold you back. Contact me today to schedule your first appointment and begin your journey towards healing and growth.
